Karela Curry/ Kakarakaya curry

Ingredients

1. Karela- 5-6

2. Green chillies- 4

3. Oil- 2 spoons

4. Turmeric- Pinch

5. Jaggery- 2 small cubes

6. Salt - to taste

7. Peanut powder- 3 tbsp


Preparation Method:

1. Chop karela thin and size should be 1 inch. Heat oil in a pan and add karela and fry for 2 minutes.

2. Add green chilies, turmeric mix well. Close the lid and cook well.

3. Add salt and jaggery, mix once in a while to avoid karela burning. keep on mixing once in a while till the karela becomes soft.

4. Lastly add peanut powder, mix well and turn off the flame. Yummy karela curry is ready and never complains karela is bitter.
