
Ingredients:
1. Bitter Melon- 6 medium size
2. Yogurt- 1/4 cup
3. Tamarind pulp- 3 tbsp
4. Turmeric- 1/2 tbsp
5. Oil- 5 tbsp
6. Salt- to taste
7. Chilli Powder- 1 tbsp
8. Shredded Coconut powder - 2 tbsp
9. Peanut powder- 2 tbsp
10. Sesame seeds powder- 2 tbsp
Preparation Method:
1. Wash bitter melon and cut them into 4 pieces equally. Cook the bitter melon with yogurt and tamarind pulp. Add turmeric powder mix well. Close the lid and let it cook till all the yogurt and tamarind pulp is absorbed into the bitter melon. In equal interval mix them to make sure bottom is not burnt.
2. Take another non-stick pan and add oil. Later on add the bitter melon pieces and fry them on a medium flame. stir equally on sides till crisp.
3. Add salt to taste and chilli powder, mix well. Keep on medium flame and fry them for 2- 3 minutes.
4. Now add shredded coconut, peanut powder and sesame seeds powder and mix them.
5. Serve hot with rice and ghee. Everyone likes to eat this dish and never complaint it tastes bitter.
Notes:
1. Take equal ratios of Bitter melon and masala powders( in equal quantity).
