Pudina Chutney/Mint Chutney

Ingredients:

1. Mint - 1 bunch

2. Urad dal- 1 spoon

3. Chana dal- 1 spoon

4. Peanuts- 1 spoon

5. Red chillies- 5

6. Tamarind pulp- 1 spoon

7. Oil- 2 spoons

8. Mustard seeds- 1 tsp

9. Cumin seeds- 1 tsp

10. Curry leaves- 1 string

11. Turmeric- pinch

12. Asafoetida- pinch

13. Salt- to taste


Preparation Method:

1. Dry roast urad dal, chana dal, peanuts, red chillies. Keep aside to cool down.

2. Add 1 spoon oil , turmeric and mint leaves ,saute till soft.

3. In a mixie jar add mint leaves, roasted dal, chillies, tamarind pulp, salt, grind into a smooth chutney.

4. For tempering add rest of the oil, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves. Add it to chutney.

5. Mint chutney is a good combination with rice or dosa.
